Designed for a lifespan of 40 years according to IEC 60076 specifications and specifically part 7 for overloading capability. Used world-class auxiliary items, such as modern design bushings and vacuum technology tap changers, to enhance reliability.

Space restriction on the substation expansion resulted in the transformers being manufactured with natural ester fluid because of its fire-protection capability. The cooling fluid's fire-protection capability circumvents the requirement for firewalls. The low voltage interface was built with a cable box rather than traditional open bushings to accommodate the spatial constraints. Online condition monitoring equipment was fitted to the transformer to enable the owner to monitor its health.
